This is what I use as a pre-treatment in The Glam Van - It is non oily and doesn't cause pre-mature lifting. It's natural properties means it is gentle enough to use daily. 
 
Take it to work, put it in the kitchen... keep it wherever you wash your hands the most. You will get longer out of your nails for sure.
